Picture this. Somewhere in America right now:
- There’s a machine shop that’s an expert at machining impellers for turbomachinery
- And there’s an engineer who needs that exact capability for their part
The two might be thousands of miles apart, and may never hear of each other. Word of mouth doesn’t travel that far. What a missed opportunity.
Vendra closes that gap. We’re building the data and execution layer for American manufacturing.
Over a short, but meaningful two-year run, we’ve already supported aerospace & defense companies building high-power satellite buses, launch systems, hypersonic missiles, supersonic aircraft, and data centers in space. Real American ingenuity.
Our mission is ultimately to enable our customers to build faster by making U.S. manufacturing accessible and reliable. That means you should be able to get parts made whenever you need them, with zero barrier to entry.
There are over 16,000 machine shops in the U.S. (and we’ve visited plenty, but not quite all of them yet!). Finding the correct supplier with the specific capacity, material, technical expertise, and compliance has historically been a data-starved, fact-finding mission.
Every week, Vendra’s supply chain team speaks with and visits these shops across the country. The message is consistent. They have open capacity and the right machines. They want the work. They’re willing to do whatever it takes.

Neo-primes and modern A&D teams are trying to build the future while relying on a legacy Rolodex of suppliers. They are flying blind regarding real-time production capacity, actual lead times, and reliability and performance metrics.
And on the supplier side, these shops don’t have sales teams busting the door down, driving new business. Instead, they rely on word of mouth, long-standing relationships, or hope that someone will stumble upon their website and send an inquiry.
The problem is not that America lacks manufacturing capacity.
The problem is that the intelligence needed to find, qualify, and activate that capacity has never been built. That’s where Vendra comes in.

We’ve built Vendra not just to be a platform, but an intelligent data-layer for American manufacturing. We help a customer understand how they can source parts reliably, which suppliers can make the parts, have material availability, have capacity, have the technical experience with the feature complexity to deliver the part in-spec and on-time.
It’s a dynamic system built for the reality of engineering: changing designs, shifting timelines, constrained capacity, and the natural unpredictability of manufacturing.
And the timing matters. Manufacturing demand is increasing across the U.S. in a big way, but this next era of American manufacturing will not look like the last one. It will be faster, more connected, more data-driven, and more responsive to the speed required by modern hardware development.
Vendra is making it happen. And we’re proud to do it here in America.
Happy Fourth of July week. Happy 250 years. Onwards. 🇺🇸
